If you use the french language file, does the translations look ok ?

Par example, le mot Mediatheque c'est ecrit corectement ou (Médiathčque) ?

No problems here (tried with the file names you provided and also with several files with italian diacritics in their names) :roll:

If you're an Italian yourself then you should try Central European, Baltic, Turkish or Russian letters instead. Of course there are no problems with Western if your system is configured accordingly.

We all see in this forum different chars. The files in discution are using special chars, used by the french language. Either the unicode support it's not installed properly, either BSPlayer have some issues with some chars.

@allaeddine

Could you try to change some of the letters in the filenames and see if there is a specific char that once replaced, the filename it's corectly recognised ?

The point is that Western characters will work even if Unicode is not available. For people who choose to be "Westerners" during the installation of Windows. So it's kinda meaningless for an Italian to carry out this test.

On my system (WinXP SP1), Windows automatically falls back to a short DOS-like filename if unavailable characters (ç) are used. But I'm not using the latest BS.Player.

If French/ITA is your native language, you should configure Windows Control Panel - Regional Settings accordingly. Have you done it?

If the translations in language file look OK, then it's configured correctly.
