[CONFIRMED] Subtitle Editor problem. 1 Attachment(s) On 2.27 and 2.28 version of BSplayer when editing Greek subtitles with the subtitle editor all the text corrections are replaced by strange characters non-greek. They appear on the .srt file itself if opened with notepad. So i have to make the time corrections and add or remove lines in subtitle editor and then open notepad to correct the bad characters. |
Subtitle editor greek language Can you send us a sample of this subtitle? |
1 Attachment(s) I send you a sample file. I've noticed when editing other subs that didn't happened. So i remembered something, i open the .srt file with notepad and selected Save as: and there i saw that the file with the bad replaced characters was using ANSI. The other .srt file i checked didn't had this problem when it was edited with the subtitle editor and again with notepad i saw that it was about to be saved with UNICODE. Anyway i'm sending you the .srt where on the second line for subs you can see the bad characters. The sentence starts with the English word "me" without the quotes, all the rest are greek characters which you won't be able to see. |
Looks like an out of place conversion to UTF-8. The line interpreted as UTF-8 reads: "me τρέλα και κορδέλα." And 'me trela kai kordela' looks like a readable part of dialogue to me. |
Exactly that's what it reads (it was just a test line) but on my .srt i get those strange chars. Someone has asked me in private the original subtitle file and i send in also a copy of that file with the above bad replaced text when edited with BSplayer Editor. |
The bug still exists on BSPlayer 2.31 build 974. |
