DTS audio doesnt play Hi all, I have some problem with dts audio stream in .mkv files. I use FFDSHOW filter to decode all audio and almost all video formats except AVC for which I use CoreAVC. The problem is that if I want to play mkv file with dts audio stream i dont hear anything. None tray icon of ffdshow audio decoder is seen. But if I use any other player (for example WMP11) everything is allright. sound works good and in tray I see ffdshow audio decoder icon, where is info that input is dts. can you please help me how can i force my BS.player 2.32 to play dts audio without installing any other splitters or decoders (like AC3filter) thx for answer |
When the movie starts playing right-click -> Options -> Filters -> Advanced. Can you list here what that window shows you? Is there an audio decoder loaded? If yes, then can you change its options to enable DTS output? Otherwise I think you have to install AC3Filter |

Version and build of BS.Player used? Did you, when you installed BS.Player, allow it to also internally (=for use by BS.Player only and not interfering with other programs) install its preferred filters/codecs? (As also mentioned by Tizio:) With a 'problematic' file loaded what codecs/filters (expecially 'source' and any audio-related) are shown under (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced ? Note: to get further info and access also click on the small [+]-signs in front of the codecs/filters shown. |
