Can u create one file from the movie file and the subtitle

Does anyone knows if its possible to create one file from amovie file and the subtitle file, so it can be seen in a dvd.

if your "a movie" is mpeg-4 (divx, xvid) than it can be only seen on special dvd players...

Its an "avi" movie

If your dvd player can play divx movies(search the web for compatibility and upgrade the firmware) then you can use virtualdub to put the subtitle on the movie. If it can't play divx then convert the file to a svcd using virtualdub as a frame server for tmpgenc, using the subtitle filter, that can put subtitles on the movie. You can use also vobsub.
