Just a little clarification why this feature is so useful: PAL 25fps is the dominant video standard in Europe. When movies are transferred from 24fps film to 25fps PAL DVDs, they play 4% too fast. This results in noticable variation of the audio quality (unless properly pitch corrected). A correction of the 4% speed error would adjust the audio pitch to maintain natural sounding audio.  |
