jump to next keyframe something like a shift+-> and shift+<- to jump to the next keyframe and therefore being able to efficiently ff/fb would be great. just like in vdub&co :) |
You already noticed that you can define your own keys for "Jump forward" respectively "Jump backward" on the "Key definititions & WinLIRC"-tab of "Options"/"Preferences", whereas on the "General"-tab you can set (at the top of the right hand "column") "Seconds to jump"? Would that possibility (not depending on "keyframes") not quite serve your purposes? |
yes, i've seen that but jumping through the movie takes time since the codec has to decode all frames from the last keyframe to the selected frame. jumping to a keyframe just needs decoding of one frame and is therefore really fast. the key-assignment was just meant as an example, not as a hardcoded feature request :) |
