help with subtitles and other few question

Ok, I'm using BSPlayer 1.02 to watch movies on my TV(4:3 format). When a movie is 16:9 format there are of course two black bars up and down on TV. My question is if subtitles can be shown on TV on that lower black bar istead of movie screen WITHOUT using ffdshow ?
Other thing. Why when BSPlayes is not in front ( for example I'm using the internet browser while BSPlayer plays movie in background) the movie on TV freeze (like is paused ) an on computer plays ok ?

And for the latest release I've seen there are some WMR9 changes. That will be for a greater quality playbak or... ?

thanx for usefull informations...but it's seems not to work. I'm using VMR9 rederless Overlay Mode (because in Overlay Mode 1 or 2 my DVD/DivX player freezes randomly and make TV screen green ) and using negative positions for subtitles...but it didn't work...I guess back to ffdshow....
Anyway, do you have any ideea about playback problems in overlay mode 1/2 with a GeForce FX 5700LE graphic adapter ?
