Playlist supporting http

Ok i've looked for a bit and I couldn't find an answer on how to accomplish this.

Ok here is the thing, I have my computer set as a server and I am able to access my music at work just fine.
So my problem is that after saving my playlist with an http link:
example of my playlist:

http://myIP/MediaDirectory/fileToOpen.mp3

Ok it wont open the mp3 unless I go to "Open URL".
Can anyone help me with this?
