Default Automatic loading of external audio files

I think it would be a very useful feature to be able to set BSplayer to load the external audio files with the same name automatically, just as it does with subtitles. So anyfilm.avi would also load anyfilm.QWE.mp3 and also anyflm.DSF.mp3 and would list in the track list as language QWE and DSF respectively.

What do you think? Are you planning to implement this in the near future?

I don't know if this is of use to you, but I wrote a audio plugin for a friend.
You can download it over here.

What does it do ?
As you can see the dll is now called LoadAudio.German.dll.
This means it will look in the directory where your movie (yourmovie.avi) for a file called yourmovie.German.mp3.
If it's present it will automaticly load the second file as an audio track.

The dll itself needs to be in your bsplayer plugin directory.

I realise it's not exactly what you are asking, but consider this :
- audio files take up memory
- how many audio files you want to listen to ?
I can understand you make several audio stream for other users,
but one user can only listen to 1 audio file at a time.

MAYBE you can copy the dll several times to your plugin directory.
I never tested that, but I think there's a big possibility that this will make BSPlayer crash.

Thank you for the plugin, it is partly what I am looking for, and I think it will be useful for me, but unfortunately it totally diasbles the origial avi track, so I cannot change between them.

You have written, that audio files take up memory etc, and I totally agree. I don't "want" (better use wish) BSPlayer to load all external audio files, but to realize them and offer the possibility to switch to a different file. If you load an external audio file in BSPlayer now, then you have the possibility to switch between the original and the new one (as in the case of subtitles). What I am asking for is to list the external audio tracks under Audio and load the one the user selects, as in the case of a multitrack video file.

Furthermore, it would be very useful if an audio delay value, supplied by DGIndex/DVD2AVI and written to the audio filename, is automatically used with the external file. Of course this requires that BSPlayer also support audio delay adjustments.
