Brightness does NOT work There is no way to adjust the brightness of the picture as under video top line brightness adjusting it does absolutely NOTHING. It seems with all the other things one can do that adjusting the brightness would be one of them. |
For easy reference for other users: zmth is referring to the Color controls window under (rightclick >) Video > Color controls. The correct working of these controls may also depend on the codec/filter used for playback and on the 'video rendering' (overlay settings) and hardware used. Do the shortcut-keys [Home] and/or [End] not work for brightness either? http://forum.bsplayer.com/general-ta...html#post18175  |
answer and another question to do the brightness keys home, end work On my computer they do work by being the same according to the screen message as ffdshow luminance gain. Now i also note can go into options, pref's ,ffdshow prop's and get there i assume the same .But in addition there is also an offset adjustment that seems to also adjust the brightness - what exactly is the difference and is it better to use one or the other or which one? |
Consider "Luminance offset" to be your (general) basis/starting-position of "luminance" (depending on your "warez" and your personal "likes"). "Luminance gain" then may be used to adapt for individual movies. |
