Default Lag on 1080p playback for ONE video

Hi all! We've been thoroughly enjoying BS Player for a while now, but I've finally come across an issue that I'd LOVE to get resolved. When I play this one .mkv file, I get severe "lag", for lack of a better word. The video playback just slows for a second or two, then picks back up to normal. It happens throughout the movie it seems where there's lots of action. My specs should not be an issue as I have a quad core, 4GB RAM, and ati HD 3800 series card. This is the only video I've had an issue with, but it also works flawlessly in MPC-HC, so I'm assuming it's some sort of software issue. I have the 2.57 version and usually install with default settings. Should I install minimal codecs during the install? Which ones would i need for playing mkv, avi, vob, mpeg4, etc.? We love BS Player and the detached control panel, so I'd love for this video to work flawlessly like it does in other players. If video specs will help, here they are:
