HELP: problems with BSPlayer latest Version

I used to have an older version (not that old but can't remember which one) of BSPlayer. No problems watching movies, divx, etc.

Now I download the new version (493). I uninstalled the old one, deleted the folder, etc. Install new one. What do I get? "Can't Create DirectDraw Surface!" warnings. WTF? I can't watch any movies?? Help. Was it because I messed about with divx? coz I went to www.divx.com to get a newer version of the divx bundle (503 oppose to 502 I used to have).

I uninstalled, reinstalled all divx codecs, and what you know, the divx bundle says sorry 30 days trial is up!. WTF like just because I uninstalled and reinstalled it.
