DirectShow not installed! 004A for LAV filter

Currently using 2.57.1051 Pro, but just like the issue posted here: Issue 84 - lavfilters - LAV Splitter won't play all MKV files - Open-Source DirectShow Media Splitter and Decoders - Google Project Hosting

I keep getting "DirectShow not installed! 004A" error while trying to open a .mkv or .avi files with Bsplayer.

Is this due to incompatibility to LAV filter? Has this been resolved in latest 2.61?

At this moment it seems that BSPlayer and MKV using LAV decoders won't work. I am not recieving your message, just a crash report from BSPlayer, but it's clear that at this moment there is something not working well. Use Gabest MKV splitter or Haali meanwhile.

Does this happen only with mkv and avi files? How about other types?
