Default How do I permanently add subtitles to avi files?

Hi all!
I'm kinda new to BSP (ver. 0.86-493).
I want to add subtitles to an avi movie, save it with the subs and then burn the movie (with nero or other apps) as VCD.
I can't figure out how to do that. Every time I add the subs to the movie I can watch it with subs, but when I save the file, it is saved without them (eventhough I marked "Draw subtitles to overlay surface").
What should I do?
Li

if you use bsplayer for all your movies, then you have to easy ways to et your subs with the film:
1. give the same name to the movie and the subtitle file
( for example myfilm.avi and myfilm.sub or .srt or ... )
2. write a .bsi file ( ini file for bsplayer ) it's all explained in the bsplayer directory /doc/ini_files.html
here's an example:
let's call the file myfilm.bsi
here's what's in it:

[Main]
NumberCDs=1
CD=1

[Movie]
Title=American Pie 2
Directory=.
FName=FILM.avi
AudioName1=langage

[Subtitles]
Directory=.
Sub1=langage|subtitles.srt

Font=12;Arial Black;24;24
StartTime=00:00:00

---------------------------------------

at the cd root put:
FILM.avi
subtitles.srt
myfilm.bsi

hope you find it useful

...and if you want a launcher with a BSPlayer to your CD, download BSCD.

With it you don`t need anything but the codec on your PC. And your CDs will be a lot easier to view. (autorun menu)
