doesn't play MPEG files!

BS Player is great for Divx, but it won't play my MPEG 2 files!! It says "unknown file format ()".

I've searched through the forums. and the only answer I see is that "this isn't BS Player's fault".... so, essentially, does this mean BS Player will NEVER play MPEG2 files for me? There *has* to be a workaround!

bsplay doesnt have problems playing mpeg 1 files and as far as i can remember it also played my dvd-vobs (with installed ac3 filter) correctly.
