.ini files and skin problem The skin option in the bsplayer.ini file is not really documented so I don't know how to put it!! in a "skins" folder or not with the extension or not, between quotes or not and so on. Any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance StarK BTW: A better and complete bsplayer.ini documentation would be a great addition to the player. BTW2: I love this player!! especially the no install codec solution Here is the bsplayer.ini file: [Main] NumberCDs=1 CD=1 [Movie] Title=Domestic Disturbance Directory=. FName=Domestic Disturbance.avi [Options] FullScreen=1 ExitAtEnd=1 Skin=Crystal //doesn't load the skin. I can set it manually after it has loaded with the default skin only, which is not what I want :( . |

I've made a test with this bsi file (named xxx.bsi) [Main] NumberCDs=1 CD=1 [Movie] Title=What Lies Beneath Directory=. FName=What Lies Beneath (Cd1).avi AudioName1=Fran?§ais AudioName2=English [Options] FullScreen=1 ExitAtEnd=1 Skin=KDEmod It works for me, i'm using the build 488 and it works fine, i haven't found the skin crystal, i've searched on bsplay.com but the link is not valid... Have you tried with another skin ? which build number do you use ? Matimott |

I use the 0.85 build 488. I tried again with the skin you used and it doen't seem to work either. Take care, if you use the skin that your installed player use it's the one that gonna load so don't do that. Thanks for the help. any other suggestion?? |

skins in .ini
:!: I found that loading a skin from an .ini file from CD does not work if this skin is already used as default for the bsplayer installed on your HD (bsplayer then always uses it default base skin). However there's a workaround: if you rename either the skin you are using in your HD installation or the one you wanna use on your CD, then it works. I tested with WinDVDplus2. As soon as I renamed it on my HD to "WinDVD" and used the original naming in the .ini on my CDs it worked fine. Greetings, Sting |

Skin problem
String I found that loading a skin from an .ini file from CD does not work if this skin is already used as default for the bsplayer installed on your HD (bsplayer then always uses it default base skin). I have this problem too. When I am loading a movie with KDEmod skin (p.e.) the skin is displayed all right in the first cd but when I put the second cd of the movie in the tray the original skin is back again! :!: |
