subtitles... two sets

this movie displays two sets of subtitles, one larger group in the black area beneath the widescreen and one smaller group in the movie itself, please let me know how to make it so I only see one set.

You have installed a subtitle displayer plugin, like vobsub.
BSplayer displays also the subtitles by itself.
You need to disable one of them.
So remove vobsub or disable "display subtitles" in BsPlayer.
