explorer thumbnail preview

Does anyone know if there is any way to disable the thumbnail preview for video files in XP explorer

1. I display folders on the left => I don't have this problem (in wXP, it was still an hindrance in w2k) [+ I only use details mode to display files.]

tools > folder options > general > web view > use windows classic folders
then make that the view for all folders using
...>folder options > like current view

using this you disable the thumbnails preview but also the set of features ('common tasks' displayed on the left).
If you just want to disable the video preview, I think there is something you can do with the registry but I can't tell more...
