MPG2 and1 files

Why can't bsplayer adjust the color and contrast when playing a mpeg2 or 1 file? is there a way to do this? if so please tell me.

1. Rightclick, video, color controls, move the slider forr brightnes.
2. Use an mpeg decoder that can adjust brightnes
3. Overlay color controls from your videocard drivers. Adjust brightnes.
