Got cybelink AC3 but cant use it

Hello,
i want to use the ac3 codec that comes with my PowerDVD 5 package but i cant use it with bs player. Why? when i select it in audio options there is still no sound. AC3- filter works fine but i want to know why Cyberlinks codec dont work.
