Default No sound

When I play a move in windows xp (.avi for example) I get no sound ad all.
I'm not an expert on video players etc, so probably this is another stupid question…. But on the other hand stupid questions are easy to answer…

you may want to check your movie's audio codec using Gspot and refer to HackerWerger's FAQ or adicoto's post for links to the suitable codec/filter
