Can't create Direct Draw Surface?

I just downloaded BS player about a week ago and it worked fine until lastr night. Tried re-installing it and restarting, but I still get that error whenever I try to open a video. The player itself stays open but I can not run any any videos.

I run Windows ME.

Copy of a post in bug reporting, just wasnt sure if anyone in general forum had any ideas.
