HELP ME PLEASE!

I have a xvid video file and I can play it with Divx Player with no problem. But when I try to play the same video file with BS Player there is a sound problem. I cant hear any sound. I checked the codecs with various software. Here is my problem with screenshots..What should I do?

have you tried rendering it in gspot?

adicoto 27th July 2004 06:18 PM

Install DivX 3.11. It comes with an audio decoder that probably will solve the problem. When asked to replace the newer file, say yes.

The information in the post didn´t help me. I don´t know what to do. All other players (media player classic, vlc etc.) are working without problems. I have configured the filters for audio and video as they ara in media player classic, but without success. I have NO SOUND!
I hope someone can figure out how to solve this really weird problem!

What does GSpot say about the codecs needed for that specific movie? Is it able to play the sound of that file?

If it has an AC3 audio track have you installed AC3 Filter?

It seems that everything is ok in GSpot. It plays the audio and video successfully. I attached the screen from GSpot.

Thanks for helping me out :D

Try to install an alternate audio decoder such as Odio Dekoda. Your MP3 filter seems to be unable to render VBR MP3 files inside .avi container. If so, this may help.
MPC and VLC use own filters, not windows' ones.

This doesn´t solved the problem either!
I´m relly despaired. BSplayer is THE player i was searching for, but now i have no clue how to solve this problem. My friend has almost the same OS(Vista-Ultimate). I have Vista Business. He has the same sound card(X FI) and by the way he hasn´t any special codecs installed. I am wondering if there is nobody who has a similar problem. I have no sound in every movie, whether it is a DVD, XVID or any other format.

adicoto 30th March 2007 06:06 AM

Damn' you didn't told us about the X-FI. Creative soundcards do have some issues. Try to disable hardware decoding.
