no RMVB video from 1.2 Build 815, but OK with 1.02.812

I was using BSplayer 1.02 Build 812 to play RMVB files, with the realmediasplitter as codec.
After upgrading to BSplayer 1.2 Build 815, there is only sound on all rmvb files but can't see anything. According to the FAQ on the website, the codec is missing. But apparently that is not the case here. The latest realmediasplitter works with 1.02 Build 812 just fine.

Re-running the "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\realmediasplitter.ax" didn't help.

Any suggestion or help will be highly appreciated.
