How to keep playback rate the same when movie repeats?

I used to have bsplayer set so that the playback rate would stay the same when the movie repeats. After updating, bsplayer doesn't remember the playback rate when repeating and just reverts to normal (1x) speed. What do I need to set to have it remember the playback rate? Any assistance much appreciated.
