PROBLEM FIXED!!! :D
i was going to do what adicoto told me, when i noticed that i had a private message, ill write exactly what the msg says: before installing other codecs, try this: go to Start -> Run and launch dxdiag.exe chose "Sound" tab and drag the "Hardware Sound Acceleration Level" to "Basic Acceleration" and its working now, thnks a lot, adicoto and mhanor for your help ;) |

you are using the onboard sound chip... Realtek ALC658 I was expecting something else :) You might want to try an upgrade you audio drivers using http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ or download some new drivers from www.realtek.com.tw and after upgrading the audio drivers, set the audio acceleration back to standard/full and see if the problem is still there |
| |||
I cant find the drivers for ALC658 on realtek's webpage or windows update. Also is there a way to save the changes on fxdiag? cause sometimes when i reboot, the option keeps reseting to total aceleration |
| |||
the setting shouldn't reset the same setting can be accessed at Control Panel -> Sounds&Multimedia -> Advanced (depending on which device) -> Performance you can find the drivers on realtek's webpage www.realtek.com.tw , at Download -> Multimedia ICs -> AC97 Audio Codecs |
