MKV file won't play

Hello.

I just finished downloading a movie file that ends in .mkv. I've downloaded the lastest pack at http://matroska.org/ but for some reason, it still won't play. When I open or drag the file into BSplayer. Nothing happens. It doesn't say it's playing and no sound even comes up. BSplayer doesn't even acknowledge that tried to open a file.


I've reinstalled BSplayer and mastoska pack but still nothing. It can play avi files fine, it's just mkv that is giving me problems. I've looked through the forums and I still can't figure out how to fix this. You help would be much appreciated! :)

ok.

I just downloaded windows classic. AND it plays on that.... so I don't know why it doesn't play on BSplayer
