For your first question, you don't have to "...drag and drop the folder into the bsplayer.." but you have to drag and drop the movie files. And you need the proper codecs to view the movies (Read BSPeter's Help2Help post, which link is in my signature).

For the second one (I hope you were not tring to load a rar file with BSplayer :P ), you need a program such as WinRAR or 7-Zip or similar to un-rar that kind of files (RAR files are compressed archives like ZIP files are, and you need a compressor program to unpack them).

Some files downloaded from internet come in a sequence of .rar files. You must have all the files downloaded if you want to play the file. So, extract the archive using winrar, winzip or other archiving program. If the extraction fail, then you don't have all the volumes. If it successfull, then you'll end up with an .avi file. You can drag'n'drop this file onto BSPlayer's main window, double click it, no matter, it should play.

I forgot one thing. You must have also a .svf file with the rar files. Open it with notepad. Inside you'll find the names of the volumes that compose the archive.
