Subtitle problem

hi I have the Pro version 1.36

some of my chinese movies don´t show the subs. If I choose the sub file it says "no subtitles" if BS player starts the idx files automatically the file won´t play at all(just a black screen)....what can I do?

BSplayer can display only text based subtitles!
You must install vobsub to display idx subtitles

This is not totally true...
Since version 1.35.823 BSplayer is able to reproduce VobSubs subtitles without a VSfilter installed

BSplayer and BSplayer Pro version 1.35 (b823) (17 Aug 2005)

*
added option to extend video to defined height (useful for putting subtitles under the movie)
* better support for haali media splitter, audio stream switching will work now
* improved handling of corrupted and incomplete avi files
* added native support for VobSub subtitles (no need for VSFilter), external and embedded are supported
* shutdown option was broken, fixed
* tray icon wasn't properly updated, fixed
* option to set separate volume for audio streams (if all are enabled) was broken, fixed
* fixed bug with skin install, if movie was playing skin was not installed
* {Y : x} tag is now properly supported in mdvd subtitles
* more compatible with real alternative
* (skin) mute button was updated only if it was defined last, fixed
* (skin) "Exit Full Screen" action wasn't working, fixed
* (skin) Status text was truncated to 9 pixel in full screen skins, fixed
* some other changes and bug fixes
I tested myself with a .sub (and .idx) file [with japanese ideograms], and it worked like a charm :)
Maybe it doesn't fully support them, but IDX subtitles should work..

@Xeeran
Have you checked the option "Enable VobSub support" in Subtitles properties (CTRL+P -> Subtitles -> VobSub)?
