Can't change colur or brightness (if refresh rate >60)

I have just bought new monitor 21' ,if i increase the refresh rate of monitor greater than 60 hz , I can not change colour or brightness through
Video-colour control

If it is not possible in bsplayer can anyone tell me any software with which i can change saturation (colour) and brightness of screen.
