Default Error msg : Can't Open File

I got error msg: " Can't open file" when I tried to open a movie file on my dvd. I only got this problem only after I updated to BSplayer verion 1.39 build 829(free version). Before that I use BSplayer 1.37 build 826(free version) with no problem to open a that file at all. I have all lasted codec installed, too. I tried to uninstall the new version 1.39 and reinstall old version 1.37, but it doesn't work. Enclosed is the error msg.Can someone help me?

First of all, if you want to uninstall BSPlayer it's good to delete also it's settings folder (in documents and settings). Also delete any webtech folder in program files. After that, you can do a clean install (stick to 1.37). Be sure you have an MPEG2 decoder installed to play DVD files.

Might also try re-register quartz.dll

What is the format of that movie? Or can you provide a screenshot of the directory where the problem file is located?

Can the file be opened by Windows Media? Do this: Start -> Run -> mplayer2.exe -> [mplayer2 opens] -> File -> Open ...
