is there anyway to translate japanese language to english on the movie your watching b/c i have an anime and it has japanese language but the subtitles are english but i dont feel like reading the subtuitles all the way through the anime so is there like a codec i can dowload or something to change the japanese language to english

If the file do have 2 audio streams (one in japanese, one in english) you can select wich audio stream to be played from audio->audio streams. If not, no codec can help you.
