Can't vote as I have one computer with XPsp2 and one wich runs generally on Vista. For now I use the XP one more, but not due to Vista limitations. Haven't got into much trouble with Vista when playing files with BSPlayer. So, in my opinion it's OK as OS. Ultimate, my vote will go for Vista.

Tweaked Windows XP SP1. This package has proven to work stable on many computers. I have no intention to ever use SP2 with all the bloat and restrictions.

Anythings better then Vista. I'll go with "Xp SP2" because it works flawless on most machines.
