No Audio w/MPEG movies I'm hoping that there's an easy fix or explanation for this. When I play any .mpg (not MPEG2) file there is no audio at all (volume control is maxxed). I have v1.00 RC1 (Build 805). Under Audio streams both CO & EO are checked. Any assistance is gratefully appreciated. Thanks! :) |

I was wondering if anybody's come up with a solution yet to this problem. I'm trying to play an mpeg file and am getting no sound at all. The program is not muted and the volume is all the way up. Thanks in advance. Amanda |

Strange if you're indeed referring to MPEG1, as this comes with windows. Does the file play in (e.g.) WMP? Also check settings under Audio (rightclick > Options > Preferences > Audio). If not set to "System default" try if changing makes any difference. (Could be you have to close BSPlayer (only Player, no Windows-restart) and restart it again to enable new choice to become effective)

Something messed up the MPEG1 decoder (audio decoder). AFAIK only some codec packs do that. If you can't uninstall the codec pack, try (As a sugestion, I am not sure is working) to install matrix mixer. And if it solve or not the problem, please write here an answer. Thx. SOme codecpacks when uninstalled mess upthe codecs and the sole solution is a Windows clean reinstall. Nothing else worked. |

I tried playing other files (.avi, .mpg, .mpeg, etc.) I have and they all work fine, *with* audio. If it's just that one file that doesn't work, does that mean it's a bad file? Do I need to work on getting that fixed, rather than trying to get it to play with BS, or is there a solution? Thanks in advance. Amanda |

An alternative filter for MPEG audio files. Basically, it spreads the MPEG audio files with 2 channels on 5.1 channels. http://matrix-mixer.sourceforge.net/ |
