(AFAIK) You can start BSplayer minimized to the system tray bar with the
-hide command line parameter only if you also specify a movie filename.
Ex.:

"C:\Program Files\BSplayer\bsplayer.exe" "C:\MovieName.avi" -hide
As an alternative you can use Girder (or another program) to start BSplayer and send to it the keyboard button "h".
Below I posted an example to use in Girder. It should do what you asked for
