With v1.36 there were problems with Desktop Mode, read
here
(probably the desktop mode will not work with user mode since BSplayer has to edit the registry values located at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop and probably other similar entries)
As like as
adicoto I always used Administrator access, so I can't tell you if it worked for me with a simple User mode..
Maybe try to download v1.37 or latest BSplayer version (you'll be able to find the link in BSPeter's
"READ THIS FIRST BEFORE POSTING" post. Remember that all version above 1.37 contain WhenU adware)
