Have you modified BSplayer's shortcut?
You can try to rename BSplayer's settings file (by default is
C:\Documents and Settings\USER_NAME\Application Data\BSplayerPro\BSplayer.xml otherwise it's located in BSplayer installation dir) to something else, then start BSplayer and the settings should be resetted to default values.
Now you can try again to play your videos and see if you can replicate my first scenario..
You can also try to update to latest BSplayer release which is v2.27
