it's not a bsplayer problem
what you describe is a windows error and not a BSplayer bug.
Damn! i had this problem with bmp files once and i don't even remember how i solved it :))
.... i think it's because two (or more) programs try to register a file type (in your case avi's).... too bad i can remember the solution.. try to check out the file types in the folder options of W explorer or your windows registry :roll:
