Under preferences there is a tab DivX presets.
I assume both of you installed latest codec update 5.03.
They changed some parts in the VfW, AFAIK, apart from internal "improvements". BST wrote: Quote:

They changed interfaces again in DivX 5.0.3, updated for 5.0.3. Also future changes won't crash player anymore.

@lelikfruz: Do other players have overlay problems, too?
Check with ffdshow if you're unsure (under info tab).
