Problem with mpeg / SVCD

I already searched the forum for my problem, but I didn't find something!

First: I use:

Windows XP (without SP1)
BSplayer 0.86 built 494


I have a movie which I want to start with bs-player, but when doublecklick on the film and the bsplayer starts, there is only a very small and black window in the upper left corner of my screen and then nothing happens.

Then it is nearly impossible to close the bsplayer and my Windows Xp runs very slowly and other tasks don't work fine, since I reboot.

With Power DVD 4.0 it is no problem to play the Video, but I think there is no real possibility to resize the visible Screen of the film ( e.g. iwhen I have a 16:9 film and I want to invisible the black frames)
I think have this problem, since I install new my Windows.

I Also changed the overlay-modein the bsplayer, how I read it here often in the forum, but it also not work!

I hope someone can help me with the problem.
