Default 16 colors? but in MS-player ok.

When I try to play a DivX file with the following 2 messages appear:

---
Warning: Overlay Failed

Warning: Display Hardware is not capable of color-space conversions. Switching to RGB
---

and the file is eventualy presented with 16 or 256 colors. It is not viewable.

The same file can be played fine with MS Windows Media Player.

My video card is an old "ATI 3D Rage II+", it is PCI with 4 MBytes of memory and I am running winXP. The system has an Athlon XP 2000+ with 512 MB DDR333 memory and a 250 GB Western Digital Hard Drive.

Does anyone have any idea about what the problem is? Is there anyone experiencing the same or similar problem?

Thanks
Nicolas

Default

you can try switching overlays in the preferences menu.
but with that card it is very possible it really isn't
capable of color-space conversions.

with such a killer system - cpu - ram wise I really suggest
you buy an new Gfx card, they are really cheap these days.
