SOLVED - Player assumes all extentions against my will

Hello there!

Everytime I run the software, the 1st thing I see is a box telling "can't save configuration file. Please reinstall with default settings or choose folder with write permition". Well I did it but the bugs keep occuring.
When I right click on a file that is read by another default software, BS player assumes it's extention and becomes it's default player. Not just to this specifically extention, but for ALL of them.
Can you guys please help me to fix it?

Thank you.

Turn off UAC. Un-set read-only attribute for BSPlayer's install folder.

What's UAC man? How do I do this?

Control panel -> user accounts -> change User Accounts Control settings.

System does not recomend this. I'll uninstall BS player then.

I personnaly prefer user account off because I think I can judge better than a computer.
On the other hand, turn on UAC after installing BSPlayer if you feel more protected like this.

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. None of my softwares showed me that kind of problem ever.

BSPlayer can be associated with audio and video extensions during installation, IF desired. If not, deselect these two fields.

I deselected all of them but didn't work.

BSPlayer can't save it's settings file, so each time you start it, it reinnitializes. Un set read-only attribute for it's folder.

I just did it, but didn't work. Everytime I open this software it "steals" all video and audio extentions to it. I never ever had a software that did that kind of error. Too bad man, what annoying!

Solved

Hello guys!

I just solved. You right click on the BS Player icon, choose "run as adm" (or something - my windows is not in english). Through the options, uncheck the files you dont want BS run and hit "ok".
That's all.

adicoto 19th November 2013 07:45 PM

Runing as admin override read only attribute and config file can be saved.

That's what I said on my last message.

adicoto 20th November 2013 12:27 PM

And a good proof that BSPlayer's folder it's still read-only.

Marcelo_Neri 20th November 2013 08:08 PM

It's done anyway.
