Have got image but no sounds (= -0,01%)

I downloaded an XVID, I can read the images but I have got no sound at all. When I want to turn up the volume, I can read "volume: -0;01%".
What can I do ?
When I read in the properties, the audio format seems to be : "Windows Media Audio V2, 64 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo (for audio/video)".

Install windows media codecs.

I tried to download this WMP codec but it is still the same. It is not the first time I have this probleme. It is usually a .avi

YYou have installed WMPCDCS9 and still doesen't work ? There is still a chance install wmtools. Maybe the one who made the compresion used an asf-dedicated codec for audio compresion.

you need divx;) audio, which is a hack of a (now old) wma codec.
It is distributed with divx;) 3.11, but you can find it as an audio-only distrib on divx-digest

I have got sound now, but I have another problem : it is not synchronized with image ... You have an idea ?

What CPU and how much memory do you have on your system ?

I down loaded codecs called "AC3Filter" and "DivX audio compressor 4". I don't know wich is the good one.

RAM : 188Mo
Ressouces systeme : 22% free
PCMCIA : 32 bits
C\: 4,21Go (491Mo free)
D\: 1,36Mo (427Mo free)

AC3 filter is a filter for AC3 streams (like 5.1).
Divx audio is audio for divx, the one you needed.
