remembering intervideo settings doesn't work properly

When I uncheck "Don't load AC3 settings", I expect the player to remember the intervideo plugin settings (according to the tooltips documentation).
Instead, every time I restart the player, I see the default plugin settings (using right click -> main menu -> properties -> Intervideo Audio Decoder).
The wierd part is that if I go into the options->preferences menu, and just close it without doing anything, and then check again the intervideo settings (using right click -> main menu -> properties -> Intervideo Audio Decoder), I do see the option that was defined in the bsplayer Options->Preferences->InterVideo AC3 menu options.
I'm using ver 0.86 build 499.
