Unknown File Format (XCD)

I used the search feature and found similar posts but none seemed to address my problem. I like BSPlayer and it's interface but it will not play XCD's. I have installed the Direct Show Filter as I can play them on ZoomPlayer, Windows Media Player and ATI File Player. With BSPlayer I always get the "Unknown File Format" message. If I copy the file from the CD to the hard disk it can play it. For some reason it just will not use the filter. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

try gabest's xcd (mode2) directshow filter

Thanks for trying to help. I am familiar with Gabest but did not realize he had CDXAReader. I can find no info for installing Gabest's filter. I have always used the riff-cdxa-filter from Mode2CDMaker with success in all but BSPlayer. After many many nights of searching the forums and the web to solve my problem, I am finally giving up on BSPlayer. There seems to be no help here for solving problems. My money is going to ZoomPlayer. At least Blight helps to solve problems and is always innovating, updating and trying to help. He well deserves it.
