Problems with Xabre 400, 128 mb videocard

Hi there,
I have an Xabre 400 video card. Before I had an Nvidia card TNT2 and never had serious problems. Now, I am not able to watch any avi-movie on TV. On TV I can see the window but not the part where the film should be playing. That is black. Sometimes BS will not start a movie on the PC either. It starts the film (a black screen) and stop. I can manually start the movie (and see pictures) but I also get the screen that the programm will be terminated. A normal dvd is no problem. I also tried different refresh-rates but nothing helped.

I hope someone can help me.
