Cant Play Any DVD Movie! Help!

I can't Play any DVD Movies with the player I downloaded the lastest version yesterday and a error pops out everytime I put any dvd in the drive it only plays MP3's at this point.
Can you please help me, help me fix my problem I want to use the BSPlayer instead of Windows Media Player, I like the idea that you can have a movie playing on my desktop as i use my computer! Oh by the way I I'm using XP Professional!
