Cannot play T2 terminator hi def

I was all psyched that bsplayer could play the clips of t2 on windows hi def site, because win9 refused with an error (i think it just refused because I didnt meet their ridiculous system criteria)
bsplayer played them fine.
but now that i got the dvd, bs says it is an unknown format.
both on the asx and wmv files.
does anybody know how I can play it????
