First of all, don't use codecpacks. Sometimes (too often) they mess your computer. Install codecs from the installer provided by the manufacturer. First you have to uninstalll a codec to remove it from win registry. Usualy, installers do that by themself. You don't see them doing that. Codecs installed you can find on your control panel, under sound and audio devices, hardware item, video codecs and audio codecs.
