Player hang when I try to open folder

I am using player build 501 on Win98.
I noticed that when I am accessing folders with archive files (zip,rar) the player hang for very long time and I had to terminate the process and restart the program again.
The problem does not happen when I remove the files to another location.

Do you have a solution for that?
